Big Ideas, Real Impact
A Vision for Our Community
As a lifelong Oregonian, I am running for Clackamas County Commissioner as I have a deep love for my home state and want to see it thrive. I value service, integrity, social justice, and the future of our community and will uphold my ethical responsibility by listening, representing, and prioritizing the needs and values of Clackamas County citizens. Here are some of the policies I intend to focus on if I am elected to represent you:
-
Housing costs are rising faster than wages, making it harder for families, seniors, and young people to live in our community.
My priorities:
Work with cities, builders, and nonprofits to increase the supply of attainable housing.
Support responsible zoning and permitting reforms that reduce unnecessary delays while protecting community character.
Encourage mixed-income developments and housing options for seniors, working families, and first-time homebuyers.
Support programs that help residents stay in their homes, including rental assistance and property tax relief options.
-
Our community deserves to know how their money is spent. I intend to work with integrity and transparency.
My priorities:
Publish clear and accessible county budget information.
Ensure major spending decisions are transparent and accountable.
Focus on efficient use of taxpayer dollars.
-
Strong infrastructure keeps communities growing and ensures people can move around efficiently and safely.
My priorities:
Invest in road maintenance, bridges, and critical infrastructure before problems become emergencies.
Improve public transportation options that connect residents to jobs, healthcare, and schools.
Support safe walking and biking infrastructure in appropriate areas.
Expand rural road maintenance and connectivity.
Plan for future growth so infrastructure keeps pace with population changes.
-
As a small business owner, I understand the importance of a healthy local economy that provides opportunity, stable jobs, and a strong tax base for public services.
My priorities:
Strengthen partnerships with local chambers, trade groups, and workforce organizations.
Reduce unnecessary regulatory barriers that slow responsible development.
Simplify permitting and licensing processes.
Encourage our county to buy locally when possible.
Support vibrant downtowns and commercial districts.
-
Environmental protection is not a distant challenge — it’s an issue affecting our communities right now. We must act responsibly today to protect the air, water, and natural resources we all depend on.
My priorities:
Support practical, science-based strategies to reduce emissions and improve environmental resilience.
Invest in clean energy opportunities that create local jobs.
Protect air and water quality through responsible planning and regulation.
-
Healthcare is a human right and a right for all Oregonians under the Hope Amendment.
My priorities:
Work with regional health systems to improve access to primary care and preventative services.
Support programs that help reduce healthcare costs for families.
Support rural clinics and healthcare providers.
-
Education is one of the strongest investments we can make in our community; students and teachers need reliable support in order to succeed.
My priorities:
Support strong partnerships between counties and school districts.
Advocate for adequate funding and responsible use of public resources.
Promote workforce pathways that connect education to real job opportunities.
-
Strong communities are built through collaboration, diversity, and trust. I will be open-minded and work on creative solutions with all who wish to have their voice heard.
My priorities:
Encourage participation from residents, businesses, and community organizations.
Build partnerships that bring people together to solve problems.
-
Keeping residents safe is a fundamental responsibility of county government.
My priorities:
Ensure emergency services, law enforcement, and disaster response teams have the resources they need to provide essential care for our community members.
Improve coordination between agencies.
Support evidence-based strategies that build safer neighborhoods.
-
Public safety requires both enforcement and prevention.
Support law enforcement with the essential tools and training they need to care for our community members responsibly.
Expand access to mental health and addiction treatment services.
Support crisis response programs that connect people to care instead of jail when appropriate.
Partner with healthcare providers and nonprofits to expand services.
